On December 21, the XIX Weightlifting Tournament dedicated to National Hero Fakhraddin Shahbazov’s memory will be held in the competition hall of Shuvelan Weightlifting Academy. Athletes from the sports clubs of the capital and regions of Azerbaijan will participate in the competitions, organized by the Baku City Youth and Sports Department and Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation.
The aim of the tournament is to commemorate martyrs in the National Hero Fakhraddin Shahbazov’s personification, to promote Shahbazov’s timeline and his sport activities among athletes and youngsters, to develop and promote the sport of weightlifting, detect the most powerful athletes and increase their skill levels.
