On April 11, President Ilham Aliyev was again elected as a President of Azerbaijan Republic.
He won a confident victory with a great majority of votes.
Ilham Aliyev has always been with Azerbaijan people and has made great efforts to improve their wellbeing. Long lasting peace, stability, and sustainable development are the result of the work carried out by the head of state. Successes achieved in both domestic and foreign policy, Azerbaijan’s worthy place among the world’s nations, the development of education, medicine, law, industry and other areas, and constant improvement of the standard of living, indicate that the direction is selected correctly.
Under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan Republic is determined to conquer all the peaks. The sporting policy founded by National leader Heydar Aliyev and pursued by Mr.President Ilham Aliyev has also proven itself. Azerbaijan is a sporting country and the whole world knows and accepts it.
Thousands of medals won in the World and European Championships, Olympic Games and other international competitions, the great victories, as well as the organization of world-class sports competitions at the highest level in our country are a clear example of what is being said.
Azerbaijan is really a great sports country and is heading towards the peaks. The victory of President Ilham Aliyev in the elections is an indication of Azerbaijan people’s confidence to him. The people once again demonstrated support and high confidence to his policy aimed at country’s steadfast prosperity and strengthening its reputation in the international arena.
We, as Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation, congratulate our President Ilham Aliyev on re-election and wish him success in his work. We are sure that in the next 7 years under his leadership, Azerbaijan will enter the new stage of development and will continue its path of victory.
