Azerbaijan Weightlifting Championship, among youth under 20-23, started in the competition hall of AAAF Park Residential Complex, in Khirdalan. More than 100 athletes representing sport communities from all cities and villages of the country\u00a0 participate in the competition.<\/p>\n

In the men struggle, the last winner of the day was determined in 62 kg weight category. Mahammad Mammadli was gold medalist with total 271 kg (123+148) result. Kenan Khalilov was silver medalist with total\u00a0 251 kg (121+130), and showing 227 kg (100+127) result, Elmaddin Huseynov owned bronze medal.<\/p>\n

The aim is to select the strong athletes, to teach and develop the sport of weightlifting in cities,\u00a0 towns and villages, to strengthen friendship relations between the athletes and coaches, to increase and improve the athletes’ skill level\u00a0\u00a0 and to prepare for the following international competitions.<\/p>\n
