The next IWF Congress was held in \u201cThe Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel\u201d, in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 3. The Vice-President of AWF- Tofig Heydarov and General Secretary \u2013 Rizvan Rasulov participated in this Event that had Federation members from 80 countries.<\/p>\n

Firstly, the participants were informed about the preparation for the organization and implementation of World Youth Championship, in Bangkok, on April 4-10. It was noted that, in this competition, total 445 athletes, including 248 young boys and 197 young girls from 57 countries, will compete<\/p>\n

In addition, the following issues were discussed:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. In 2016, the IWF entering and expenditure of the funds;<\/li>\n
  2. The expansion of ” Development program” projects with the future progress of weightlifting in Country Federations;<\/li>\n
  3. Gender equality (the number of women to be elected to the committees is compared to that of men, the same rule applies to the Referees);<\/li>\n
  4. To intensify the conditions of control and test related to the use of doping and to expand the educational work in this area.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
