From the 17th<\/sup> to 27th<\/sup> of October, European Junior Weightlifting Championship amid U-20-23 goes on in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. In these competitions, which have license character to 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, attend 488 athletes (206 women and 282 men) from 41 nations. Members of the Azerbaijan national team also join the struggle for medals.<\/p>\n

Today, Elshad Sharifov struggled for medal in 73kg bodyweight category of athletes U-23. Our athlete took the 7th<\/sup> place of snatch with 123kg. He could perform well in clean and jerk and earned the European bronze lifting 160kg.<\/p>\n

Elshad was the 4th<\/sup> with a total of 283kg (123+160) in the final rankings.<\/p>\n
