European Weightlifting Championship, among young weightlifters U-15 and U-17, to be held in Prishtina, the capital of Kosovo, on 22-30, has started. 305 athletes (130 girls and 175 boys) from 40 countries will compete in this competition. Azerbaijan National team is also among the participants. One of them- Elshan Mammadov has already got on the platform. He has competed in 50 kg weight category, among U-15.<\/p>\n

Lankaran athlete lifted 75 kg in snatch and won bronze medal in this movement.<\/p>\n

In clean and jerk, Elshan could lift 95 kg and took the 4th place.<\/p>\n

13 years old and the youngest athlete of European Championship- Mammadov was bronze medalist with a total of 170 kg (75+95) result in the final rankings.<\/p>\n
