Islamic Games Weightlifting competitions to be held in Baku, on May 12-22, started. 130 athletes from 21 countries will get on the platform. There are 51 women, 79 men among them. Azerbaijan National Team will compete with full staff- 16 persons ( 8 women and 8 men).
\nToday, women in 58 kg weight category got on the platform. Sumeyya Kentli was champion in this weight category. In snatch, Sumeyya lifted 90 kg and could lift 117 kg, in clean and jerk. The representative of the brotherly country could get on the highest place of honorary chair with total 207 kg (90+117) result. Silver medalist was Indonesian athlete- Achedya Jagadhita (199 kg), and Uzbekistan athlete-Muattar Nabiyeva (196 kg) was bronze medalist.
